Lima City Tour (1 Day)

Lima with the visit of an impressive ceremonial and archeological center created in the 4th century A.D. and considered as a “sacred village” by the Incas: The Huaca Pucllana. Back then, Peru was considered as the most influential country of the Spanish Empire and Lima was its capital. Then we continue with the colonial era by visiting the Historical Center of Lima also called “Cercado de Lima” located in the city centre and Rímac areas, where you will enjoy and discover plenty of monuments and Colonial edifications such as the Paseo de la República, the San Martín Square, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, and the City Council Palace. We will continue our tour with the Peruvian Central Bank museum in Lima’s downtown, where you will appreciate a unique exhibition of a pre-Colombian gold and selection of art collection as textile, ceramic. Then we will explore the monumental SAN FRANCISCO CONVENT, which exhibit the largest collection of religious art in America. We’ll discover the dome, Clementine Hall and different mystical places as the “Catacumbas” or Catacombs. And finally, we will visit the contemporary part of Lima with its traditional residential areas of Lima, such as El Olivar of San Isidro Park where you can admire majestic trees, Miraflores well known for its shopping areas and garden.
